SUN:RISE South is a service user network meeting. Any Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust (SHSC) mental health service user is welcome to attend SUN:RISE.
It is designed to help give mental health service users a voice and to provide an opportunity for them to become involved in shaping how SHSC develops. It also provides an opportunity for service users to meet up and get to know each other. As well as this meeting there is also an equivalent monthly meeting for the North Sheffield and a monthly Central meeting. The local North/South meetings are similar to the central one but they tend to focus a bit more (but not exclusively) on local (North/South Sheffield) SHSC issues.
SUN:RISE reports to the quarterly Inpatient Forum and to the Inpatient and Communities Directorates.
SUN:RISE South meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month 1.00 – 3.30pm in The Victoria Centre, Victoria Methodist Church, Stafford Road S2 2SE. (The group have an optional informal social lunch in the cafe from 12.00).
Please note: events may not be running on bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Please double check with the organiser (before attending) if you are unsure.
