Greenfingers is a horticultural therapy project based on Grimesthorpe allotments in Burngreave, Sheffield. This creative gardening group is designed for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. Greenfingers aims for a friendly and accessible group promoting positive mental health and welcoming people of all backgrounds and identities. Members can come and grow vegetables, fruits and flowers, take part in craft activities, relax, and help cook lunch using the produce grown on the allotment.Adults can be referred by a health or social services professional such as a GP, Community Psychiatric Nurse, Counsellor or Social Worker. They are also able to take self referrals – contact them for a self-referral form and then ask your GP, Counsellor, Support worker etc. to fill out the assessment form. Please get in touch with them directly for more information.
